My typical day

If you care, read it! If not, don't bother!
7am: Wake up, eat cereal, drink coffee, get ready to go
8:15am: Leave for work. hike up the mountain to get to my school. Say "Hello" to the 20 atudents I pass on the way.
8:30am: Arrive in my office. Turn on my computer, figure out what the hell is going on. Wait for someone to offer me food. Continue to drink coffee.
9:00am: first class. Teach for 45 minutes. I usually have between 4-5 classes per day. When I am not teaching I am planning at my desk, talking to students, chatting on AIM, or taking a nap in the nap room.
11:30am-12:15pm: Lunch in the teachers lounge. Lunch usualy consists of fish prepared someway, rice, some kind of soup (usually seaweed or beef and rice noodle), kimchi, and two other sides (spicy noodles, chicken, etc.) It's fantastic.
3:00pm: End of school day. Tuesday and Thirsday I prepare for my conversation class which is an hour and a half long
4:30-4:45pm: Walk home.
5:00-6:00pm: chill for an hour. Sometimes nap.
7:00pm: Eat dinner. Usually Kimbop or go out to eat with another Korean teacher or Native Speaker. Soon to be in hip-hop class on Mon., Wed., and Fri. at this time.
8:00-10:00pm: Go to the gym and work-out. If not at the gym, I am shopping with Bridget in Gangnam and going to the teahouse or coffee house.
10:00-12:00am: Back at my apartment chillin and getting ready for tomorrow.

Weekends:
Friday: go out to a bar and the dance club until anout 3:30am
3:30am (Saturday): Get some food
5:00am (Saturday): Go to bed
2:00pm: Wake up, nurse my hangover, see if anyone sent me email about what happened last night.
9:00pm: Go out again. Usually go to some cultural event. Try to make it until 1:00am or so, but depending on Friday I dont always make it this long.
1:00am: Cab it back, go to bed
11:30am (Sunday): Wake up, chores, laundry
3:00pm: Call a friend and ask if they want to go shopping. Continue to do this until someone says yes.
9:00pm: Return home, plan for the week, go to bed.

There it is! Again, this varies depending on the week.

Sorry about the lack of posts

Hey everyone! Sorry about not posting in like two weeks. I have been super busy! In a nutshell, here is what has been going on. I found a stray kitten at my school that one of the students brought to class. The kitten had been wandering around the school for quite some time. No one would take it, so naturally I did. I took it to the vet to get shots and gave it a bath and food. It was starving when I found it, but I am happy to say that it gained like 3 pounds in about 4 days. I named it Chic-choc (after my fav Korean cookie), and found a home for it with another English teacher, Emily Durant. Right now Chic-choc is sleeping happily on my lap.
One day after school last week I went hiking with some teachers in the mountains near Seoul National University. SNU is the largest University in Seoul and the hardest to get into. It was beautiful because of the fall colors. We walked around and then ate Chinese black noodles for dinner.
I also signed up to take a hip-hop dance class 2xs per week with my Korean friend. I am really excited to learn a new style of dance while I am here. I start tomorrow.
This Friday I had a party in my apartment which was awesome. Turs out there's like 7 other foreigners in my building. Who knew?
Also went out to the Korea v. Sweden soccer game last night. It was a tie game 2-2. I actually had a great time. Even though I am not into soccer, the crowd was absolutly amazing and soooo into the game. The game was sold-out; 40,000 people. Soccer is the big sport in Korea because of their victory in the World Cup. The Red Devils is the name of their team and they have two players on the Manchester United team. I also managed to get on MBC channel 11 cheering (in Korean) with some other Koreans.
Hmmm...anyway aside from all those things I have been pretty bored. Yeah right! I hardly have time to sleep! Its great though, time is flying.
Aso many people have been asking me what my typical day is like here, so I have decided t write this in a separate post. Later!
